shri. P.V.Chandy ( Vavachan ), Pattara, Thannikkal, had only two daughters and his wife expired when the second daughter, Pennamma was only three months old. When Kunjamma reached marriageable age she was married to Shri. George ( Kunju kunju ) of Yogyaveedu, and was adopted to pattara family. The couple stayed at Thannikkal house along with Kunjammas'father and sister. Later kujammas' sister Pennamma became a nun and adopted the name Sr. Seraphin
