5th Generation. Varkey Chacko (Chackochan 1915- 1997): Born on 15.05.1915 Chackochan was the youngest son of Chandy Varkey and Ealikutty, Chathamangalam. He was affectionately called Kochuchackochan. His father Varkey Chandy expired when Chackochan was only two years old. Chackochan had his primary education at local schools and continued his high school education at St. Mathew”s HS, Kannankara. Chackochan married Annamma from Chennoth family Kokkothamangalam in 1937. The couple had one boy Vakkachan. But Annama expired few months after the birth of Vakkachan and vakkachan also did not live long. He was taken from this world at the age of two. Chackochan remarried. Married Mariakutty daughter of Adv. E. J.John & Mariamma of Erattupuzha family, Cherthala. Incidentally it is interesting to see that Mariakutty is also the Younger sister of Chinnama ( Rosamma ) wife of Kurialachan, Pattara, Angadiveedu, 1st cousin of Chackochan. Nine children were born to Chackochan- Mariakutty couple. Six boys and three girls. Varkichan, Johnny, Vavachan (expired at the age of two), Babu, Kuriachan, Thomaskutty, Elsama (sr. Olivet), Mariamma, and Thacklamma. Chackochan being the youngest son inherited Chathamangalam house and settled. Chackochan expired at the age of 82 on 13.02.1997. Later Mariakutty also left at the age of 86 on 28.04.2012
