Chandy Vakey; - 1886- 1917 ( 4th generation ) Chandy Varkey was the fourth son of Vavachan and Thresia. Born in 1887, he was known as Vakkachan. He had his primary education in local school. Vakkachan was an extraordinary tall man. He married Ealikutty (kuttiyamma), daughter of Kochuthommy and Kochunichamma of Cherupurakkal, Mappilacherry family Chambakulam. The couple had three children Chandy (Vavachn ), Thommichan and Chackochan. Vakkachan started the construction Chathamangalam house. But he could not complete the work. When the work was in progress, he was taken from this world, at the age of 30 and his youngest son Chackochan was only two years old. Later, Ealikutty a very pious and bold lady completed the work with help of her in laws and her family. Ealikutty and children shifted to Chathamangalam in1920.The house was located very near and western side of Pattaratharavad. Ealikutty’s brothers Chackochan, Cherupurakkal and Thommichan Noottipathil extended all support in bringing up and educating the children. Ealikutty was blessed to live to see her great grand children. She passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on 7th July 1974
