5th Generation Vakey Thomas ( Thommichan 1913- 2000 ): Thomas born on 25.03.1913 was the 2nd son of Chandy Vakey and Ealikutty , Chathamangalam and he was affectionately called Thommichan. Thommichan lost his father at the age of four. He had his primary education at local schools and high school education at Chambakulam, his mother’s place. Thommichan married Thresiamma, daughter of Joseph and Anna, Thyvelikkakom, Pallipuram. The couple had two sons and four daughters, Babichan, Jose, Aalimma, Annakutty, Raniamma, and Tessy. Thomichan constructed a new house on the banks of Vembanad lake. The house was named Puthenveedu and shifted from Chathamangalam in 1946. Thommichan & Thressiama lived to to see their all children well settled and were fortunate to see their great grand children. Thommichen expired at the age of 87 on 06.11.2000. Thresiamma his wife expired after six years on 26 .03 2007 at age of 92.
