Clara / Sr.Kochuthresia. (1901- 1990) (4th Generation) :-Clara the 9th Child of Vavachan & Thresia was born on 3rd October 1901. She was very brilliant in studies and successfully completed high school education. Avery pious and religious girl, joined CMC convent as an aspirant on 19 Feb 1919. Later she had her 1st religious profession on 17th may 1925 and Final religious profession on 7th September 1930. She worked as a teacher in St. Joseph’s, L.P. School Changanacherry, and Headmistress in little Flower L.P School, Manimala. Sr Kochuthresa was an able and efficient leader and administrator. She served as Mother Superior in Mount Carmel Convent Changanacherry (1941-44) and Fathimamatha Convent Manimala (1951-52) and became the Mother General of CMC convents of Changanacherry diocese (1952-58 ) and later served the congregation as Councilor (1958-63 ). The CMC convent at Muhamma was established in 1952 when Sr. Kochuthresia was the Mother general of the congregation. All family members loved and respected her and invariably sought her prayers and advice on all their problems. Whenever there was some dispute in the family, her word was final. She was bedridden for a short while and during this period she was looked after well by the congregation as well as by the family. Sr.Kochuthresia left this world on 18th April 1990 at the age of 89. Her mortal remains were buried in Changanacherry Valiapally cemetery.
