PATTARA Family

P.C. Joseph ( Ousepachan) 5th Generation ( 1910- 1958 ):-Was born in the year 1910 as the eldest son of Chandy Chandy and Mariam Chandy of Puthenpura. He was affectionately called Ousepachan. After completing his studies he joined the Oil and Copra business at Chengada along with his father and brothers. Later the business was shifted to Cherthala. Ousepachan Married Annamma (Achamma) daughter of Joseph &Clara of famous Kattikaran family Ernakulam. The marriage was blessed on 09/05/1932. After marriage Ousepachan settled at Cherthala for the convenience of looking after the business. Ousepachan constructed new house at Muhamma near to St.George Church in the year 1956 and shifted to Muhamma. The house was one of the modern buildings of the period and was named Pattarabanglow. The couple had six children. Lillikutty, Vavachan, Pappachan, Kuriachan , Antonichan and Joychan. Lillykutty is married to Appachan. Appachan is the eldest son of Chackochan, Cherupurakkal, Mappilachery, Champakulam brother in law of Varkey Chandy, Chathamangalam, Perappan of Ousepachan. The Statue of Jesus Christ erected on the bank of Vembanad lake in front of St.George church which is a land mark of Muhamma is donated by Ousepachan. Ousepachan was taken from this world at the young age of 48. He expired on 8/02/1958 after a massive heart attack. Achamma, Ousepachan’s wife lived to see her great grand children. She expired at age of 94, on 30/10/2006.
